Tresiba (insulin degludec) is a type of medication called a basal insulin. It is used to treat type 1 and type 2 diabetes in adults and children who are at least 2 years old. Tresiba is administered subcutaneously (just under the skin) once a day. It works by replacing the insulin that the body is not producing or is not using effectively.
